Instructions
How to make ice cream without an ice cream maker.
Homemade Cotton Candy
Place sugar, light corn syrup, and water in a large saucepan.
Heat over medium heat until temperature reaches 320 (not more, not less).
Remove from heat and then let cool slightly – but don’t let it harden.
Pour into ice cream mixture slowly while stirring, until well blended.
If cotton candy syrup hardens, you can heat the mixture to dissolve the syrup, but be sure to chill the mixture before processing.
Ice Cream Base
Pour milk into a large mixing bowl and stir in cotton candy syrup.
Add whipping cream and vanilla extract and mix well.
Stir in a couple drops of food coloring until you achieve the color you want.
Pour into ice cream maker
Mix about 25-30 minutes in the ice cream machine or according to manufacturer’s instructions.
Enjoy a taste of the fair!
