How long does it take to make ice cream in a Rival ice cream maker?
After your mixture is sufficiently cooled, it typically takes around 25 to 40 minutes to make ice cream in a Rival ice cream maker. The churning is done when the ice cream reaches a texture similar to “fluffy mashed potatoes”. It generally takes 2 hours for an ice cream mixture to cool in the refrigerator.
Here are some extra tips for using your Rival ice cream maker;
- Ensure that your ice cream base is thoroughly chilled before starting the churning process.
- It’s a good idea to occasionally check the consistency of the ice cream while it’s being churned.
- Once churned, the ice cream will be soft. To get it to a scoopable consistency, transfer it to a sealed container and freeze it for a few hours.
